Hi Tom, I have the chicken and the sweet potato, plus all the other ingredients sooo there is nothing to stop me from making this recipe this week. Our grandchildren think our butlers pantry looks like a supermarket, lol... I quite like sumac, but find it fades in flavour rather quickly, so I am thinking perhaps grated lemon rind could take its place. What do you think?
Hi Sally, can't wait to hear how it went. Haha, always good to have a well stocked pantry so you can make a delicious meal without much fuss. Yes, sumac is best as fresh as possible. I store mine in the freezer, and awy from light to stop it from losing flavour. Also try and use it in as many things as possible so it doenst sit around too long! great in desserts as well, like through whipped sweetened ricotta or tossed over strawberries. Lemon would be great with it.
Dinner cooked and thoroughly enjoyed by us both. Definitely a keeper. Shared on sallymcge IG
